Mercedes Florez-White, MD, is a dermatologist with over 40-years’ experience in academics and private practice. In addition to teaching students -she is the course director for dermatology- she also treats patients at the FIU Health Faculty Group Practice and at Student Health Services.
Dr. Florez-White is an internationally renowned expert and speaker on cosmetic dermatology, acne, rosacea, skin aging, and pigmentation disorders. She is a member of the board and vice-president of the International Society of Dermatology, and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology. She serves as a coordinator for the Iberian-Latin American Group for the Study of Acne and Rosacea and as secretary of the Foundation for International Dermatologic Education.
Dr. Florez-White is a past president of the Colombian Association of Dermatology and past vice president of the Iberian Latin American College of Dermatology and has authored multiple peer-review publications and books.
