Montero joined the Florida International University (FIU) Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine as the Clinical Clerkship Coordinator for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in the Office of Medical Education. She works with the Director of Clerkship in the development and management of the Period 3 Psychiatry Clerkship as well as the Period 4 Psychiatry Electives, Selectives and Externships.
Montero is an alumnus of FIU and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology degree, with a concentration in Organizational Psychology. She brings to FIU over 10 years of experience in the area of medical education and medical administration which includes working at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as manager of the Pediatric Mobile Clinic for 5 years, as well as the Clerkship Coordinator in the Department of Neurology and Clinic Manager of the University of Miami Student Health Center. Additionally, Ms Montero worked in New York City for The Children's Health Fund as Assistant Director of National Programs, Special Initiatives.
