Dr. Susan Solman is originally from Brooklyn, New York but has lived in South Florida for over 25 years and loves to explore its flora and fauna, wildlife and nature trails. She joined the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in August of 2015. Dr. Solman currently teaches for the Physician Assistant Program and the Pharmacology I & II courses.
Dr. Solman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Long Island University, New York and a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami FL. She is one of the founders of The Raw Beauty Project, a visual arts exhibit created to inspire the public to create new perceptions of women with physical challenges. Drawing on the unique intersections of her personal and professional life within the medical profession, she is deeply committed to finding ways in which we can infuse our healthcare system with deeper compassion, wisdom, and kindness.
