Where are you from?
I was born in Havana, Cuba and migrated to the United States during the Cuban crisis under the Pedro Pan freedom flights.
How long have you been with the PA program at FIU?
I have been with the program since its development in 2013.
Role in the PA program:
I am the Program Director.
I presently hold a degree in Doctor of Medicine, Master in Medical Science as well as a degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
Something unique about you:
I was an undercover Narcotic Officer in the City of Miami.

My passion has always been Family Medicine.
I have always being interested in helping those in need, and at present I run four Homeless clinics in the Miami, Ft Lauderdale, and Pompano area.
Memberships and Service:
I am a member and ECC Chair for the American Heart Association in the southern region, I am also the Medical Director for Miami Dade Police Department and belong to numerous committees and organizations to including but not limiting to FAPA, AAPA, AMA, FMA, PAEA.
