Natasha Lopez is the Office Coordinator for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Ms. Lopez joined the Department in October 2017 and she brought 18 years of administrative and extensive customer service relations experience, in collaboration with 10 years of records management expertise.
She began her FIU career in 2011 as a Community Outreach Specialist in the Department of Humanities, Health & Societies (HHS) with the Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP™ (GFFNHelp) program. In 2014, Ms. Lopez was promoted to Administrative Specialist for HHS Division of Research, Policy and Community Development where she provided key administrative support to faculty, staff and students. She also served as a liaison, maintaining a high level of public relations and interactions with community stakeholders and program households.
Ms. Lopez’s hard work and dedication at FIU HWCOM resulted in her being the first recipient of the HWCOM Recognizing Inspirational Superior Effort (R.I.S.E) Extra Mile Award. She and her team members of the GFFNHelp program were awarded the 2017 FIU Service and Recognition Award. She plans to attend FIU to attain a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.
