Ms Fonseca graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2001 from Florida International University (FIU) and became licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida in 2005.  She has over 10 years of experience providing mental health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents, and adults.  Her experience includes providing services in different levels of care such as outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment settings.  In addition to providing direct services in the community, she served as either Task Supervisor or Field Instructor for FIU Social Work students completing their practicum.  Prior to joining FIU, she served as Director of the Crisis Stabilization Unit, Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facility, and Mobile Crisis Team at Banyan Health Systems.
