Cristina Arabatzis has been employed with FIU since April 2010. She began working as an Event Coordinator in the Office of Protocol and Special Events, under the Department of External Relations. In this role she assisted planning major institutional events and ceremonies. She joined the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in September 2012 as the Senior Admissions/Registration Officer, in which her primary role was to coordinate the logistics of Medical Student Interview Day and assist throughout the Admissions process. Currently, Ms. Arabatzis is the Coordinator for Admissions and Recruitment. In her present role, she assists the Director of Admissions and Recruitment on all aspects of admissions including recruitment, Interview day, and matriculation.
Cristina is a proud FIU Panther. A two time alumna, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing from FIUâs R. Kirk Landon Undergraduate School of Business in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration from FIUâs Chapman Graduate School of Business in 2012. She also serves as the Chair of the Events Committee in the Office of Student Affairs overseeing all major student events, including the White Coat Ceremony, Match Day, and Commencement activities. Cristina enjoys working with students and also serves on the advisory board of Alpha Xi Delta National Fraternity, FIU Theta Xi Chapter and teaches First Year Experience to incoming FIU Freshman.
