Brittany Cooke was born and raised in Miami, FL. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Science in International and Intercultural Education from Florida International University. Ms. Cooke works with the Medical Student Council and the 27 student organizations, including six national chapters. She assists in the development and implementation of workshops, trainings, and programs. Ms. Cooke provides assistance and guidance to medical students who are interested in participating in international programs and medical mission trips. She is the liaison to the AAMCâs Global Health Learning Opportunities (GHLO) program and serves as a resource to medical students who are interested in pursuing clinical, research, and volunteer opportunities abroad both for-credit and non-credit. Ms. Cooke has an interest in supporting different ways of promoting global learning. Personally, she has volunteered with non-profit organizations abroad in Haiti and India, and was a Girls Education and Empowerment Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo. She loves to travel, and has visited several countries in Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Cooke studied abroad in Scotland during her junior year of college and values international study experiences.
