Andres Rodriguez, MD, recently completed his residency at the West Kendall Baptist Hospital – Florida International University Family Medicine Residency and joined the Department of Humanities, Health and Society as an Assistant Professor in 2018. He teaches clinical skills and leads several case-based learning sessions in multiple subjects engaging medical students in all four years. He also participates in the Green Family Foundation Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program (NeighborhoodHELP) by going on household visits with medical, nursing, physician assistant, and social work students in underserved communities throughout Miami-Dade County. Dr. Rodriguez’s other responsibilities include academic advising, faculty lead for the Anderson Panther Learning Community (student learning community), and member of the Library Advising Committee. His clinical responsibilities will be at the FIU Faculty Group Practice on the FIU Modesto Maidique Campus. As a Miami native and triple Panther (having completed his undergraduate, graduate, and residency training with FIU) he is focused on building partnerships that lead to a healthier South Florida community.
