Office of Medical Education

The Office of Medical Education (OME) is responsible for the MD degree program and the Graduate Certificate in Molecular and Biomedical Sciences.

OME implements HWCOM’s innovative MD curriculum at the direction of the Curriculum Committee. Led by the Associate Dean for Curriculum and Medical Education, OME coordinates the faculty, course schedules, hospital rotations, and assessment and evaluation processes that make the curriculum a success. Also in OME are the Associate Dean for Clinical Medical Education and assistant deans for medical education and academic advising.

The Graduate Certificate Program in Molecular and Biomedical Sciences provides postbaccalaureate preparation for students interested in entering advanced health professions degree programs. The program is run by an Academic Science Co-director and an Administration Co-director.

In addition, the Office of Medical Education oversees the following:
