The Florida International University College of Medicine provides professional practice settings and opportunities through which the clinical faculty provide professional services, including medical care and treatment to patients in traditional office and outpatient settings as well as at independent hospitals.

The faculty of the College of Medicine participate in medical practice activities through the Florida International University's HealthCare Network (FIU-HCN).

The FIU-HCN provides various administrative functions on behalf of the College of Medicine to support, assist and manage the College of Medicine's clinical services through its practice plan locations. These functions include billing and collections for patient services, negotiating and managing contracts with vendors and insurance plans, provider credentialing, and administration of practice operations.
