Our Department has a proud history of training pathologists who have been prepared for practice in academic institutions, community hospitals and reference laboratories. Our goal going forward is to help insure that each student is committed to medical excellence and has the ability to pursue a practice lifetime of self motivated continuing medical education and improvement.

Vision: Pathology is the study of disease. We will advance our knowledge of disease through research teaching and service in order to become a respected and renowned department on both a national and international level.

Mission: To provide excellence teaching, service and research in pathology to the students, clinicians and patients of F.I.U., and the community as a whole.
