The FIU College of Medicine Founders Program
provides an opportunity for South Florida's leading
individuals, families, corporations and foundations to
provide significant financial operational support for the
College of Medicine. College of Medicine Founder
commitments provide the University with essential,
flexible funding for planning and implementing all aspects of opening and operating a new College of Medicine.
Membership in the College of Medicine Founders Program
College of Medicine Founders agree to commit $50,000 or more, which can be paid in annual installments over a period of up to five years, to the College of Medicine Education Fund.
Fund will provide unrestricted funding to the College, which can be directed to the College's most immediate and pressing needs. Some of the many uses of the Education Fund will include recruitment of key instructional and research faculty, development and implementation of curricula, recruitment of the inaugural class of students, initiation of activities that cement relationships with leading local hospitals and other health care providers, and equipping teaching and research laboratories.
Recognition and Benefits for College of Medicine Founders
Individuals and organizations making a College of Medicine Founders commitment will be recognized permanently as College of Medicine Founders and as members of the University-wide Society of Founders.
In honor of their important contribution to the start of a new era at FIU, additional recognition for College of Medicine Founders will include:
