Mission Statement:
The mission of the Office of Medical Education is to educate and train medical students through innovative curricula designed to advance a passion for scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and comprehensive clinical expertise that leads to a highly qualified, competent, and broad-based physician.
Our mission will be accomplished by:
- Creating a medical education program that is learning objective's driven, measureable, and outcome-based.
- Integrating the basic and clinical sciences though active, guided learning in multidisciplinary courses with competency assessments at each stage.
- Providing students with opportunities for in-service learning in outpatient, hospital, community, and home settings, and to apply social, cultural, and inter-professional dimensions in medical services.
- A professional behavior curriculum preparing students to practice with the behavioral and ethical expectations of the medical profession with attitudes and dispositions that are in compliance with the profession's highest standards of conduct.
