In the FIU COM, the Office of Clinical Affairs is primarily responsible for the clinical experience that medical students obtain on the way to their medical doctor (M.D.) degree. This includes the recruitment of the heads of the various clinical departments as well as the recruitment of faculty within the departments. It is also the responsibility of the Office of Clinical Affairs to arrange affiliations with various hospitals where students will rotate as well as other clinical sites within the area that have an interest in medical student education. It is also the responsibility of this office to orchestrate the development of various programs in Graduate Medical Education.
