The FIU HW COM MMIG serves to provide our troops and country with the best possible doctors. It will work to increase awareness of career options within military medicine, to facilitate communication and interaction with the branches of the military, health care professionals in this field, the medical students, and the undergraduate students at Florida International University.

The MMIG will promote mentorship between FIU COM physicians and students; will organize workshops to increase the awareness of the student body of the unique role and opportunities of a military physician; will provide a source of advice, camaraderie, and support for those in the military; and encourage health and physical fitness in the organization, the College of Medicine, FIU, and the community.
