- Biography
Dr. Gonzalez-Arias leads the CME Program as the Director of CME as well as Professor and Chair of Neurosurgery, at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, in Miami, Florida.
He is Chief of the Department of Neurosciences and Neurological Surgery at Baptist Hospital of Miami (a clinical affiliate of FIU/HWCOM) and Medical Director of Baptist Hospital of Miami Neuroscience Center. He has served as Chief of the Department of Surgery, Past President of the Medical Staff, and Chair of the Quality Committee at Baptist Hospital.
Dr. Gonzalez-Arias received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at The University of Zaragoza in Zaragoza, Spain. He completed his surgical internship at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago and neurosurgical residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital-University of Miami. He is board certified by The American Board of Neurological Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons
