- Biography
A New York City native, Ferdinand Gomez earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Florida International University. He joins the College of Medicine faculty as Instructor of Anatomy in the Department of Cellular Biology and Pharmacology. Having previously served as the Coordinator and Instructor of the systemic Human Anatomy courses for the Biological Sciences Department (College of Arts and Sciences), Mr.Gomez brings a decade of instructional experience in the health and life sciences.
In 2005, he received an FIU Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching award.
His responsibilities will involve teaching human anatomy to first-year medical students. In collaboration with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, he will continue to serve as the coordinator and instructor of the systemic human anatomy courses for students enrolled in prospective health professions programs of study that include nursing, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.
