Vision:
We will be the leading academic neurosurgical program in South Florida focusing on maintaining a margin of excellence in the practice of neurosurgery, clinical research and the education of our medical students in the fundamentals neurosurgery.

Mission:

• To ensure compassionate excellence in care to the community we serve in a patient safe and cost efficient environment
• To provide an optimal learning environment for undergraduate medical education
• To promote the development of graduate neurosurgical education and research
• To improve continuing medical education for our neurosurgical community

We are committed to ensure that our medical students receive their basic neurosurgical training in a patient-centered educational environment built on a multi-disciplinary model of care, with interaction with all other pertinent clinical specialties participating in their education.

In collaboration with neurosurgical colleagues throughout our South Florida community and affiliated facilities our students will experience all clinical and technical aspects of Neurosurgery. Programs for continuing medical education at participating facilities will benefit the entire community.

We encourage our student's participation in research opportunities that not only focuses on clinical issues but encourages initiatives that take advantage of the excellent basic science and other clinical divisions within Florida International University.
